I just came across this blog post by Tim Erway…most famous for his involvement in the creation of the runaway success MLM Traffic Formula.
Tim writes, “Is the squeeze page method dead?
How can I get around the “Google Slap” with my pay per click campaigns?
When, where and how should I use a squeeze page?
Contrary to what you may have heard, the squeeze page method is far from dead, and I encourage you to read on before you take your squeeze pages down simply because you read a report telling you otherwise.
That being said, there are circumstances where a squeeze page should NOT be the first step in the sales process, and there are some products and/or markets where a squeeze pages shouldn’t be used at all. Remember, before taking anyone’s advice as gospel (including mine), always test for yourself.”
This is something that I have not put a lot of thought into and that I am going to look into doing some tests on my own as well. Take a look at what Tim wrote in this blog post.
There is a subtle difference to what Tim is advocating here and what we are used to traditionally. The type of squeeze page he is advocating really provides a snippet of solid content and then for prospects to get the full story they actually have to put in their information. I think it is a great concept because the search engines are hungry for content and so are the searchers.
Enjoy!

This is an interview I recently conducted with a successful Full-Time Network Marketer Dave Hanson. He has built a group of over 2,000 people.
On an average month how many leads have you been able to generate on your own?
Over the past twelve months I have averaged 173 leads per month. I don’t generally use paid advertising.
What are you doing that generates the most leads for your business and tell us more about this system?
For the most part, I drive traffic to my own custom lead capture pages using techniques taught in MLM Traffic Formula. It’s a constant process of testing and tweaking, and sometimes massive overhauls are required to adapt to what’s working on the internet at that time.
That said, SEO is my most steady stream of leads but now my blog at http://www.davidahanson.com/ is starting to generate a steady stream of traffic and leads outside of the traditional search engines as well.
We see so many programs out there that are supposed to revolutionize our business, but when utilized they end up being empty promises. What is the least expensive way that you have been able to generate leads that actually works that isn’t an “empty” promise?
There is no silver bullet system that is going to instantly create success. What is required is to find a method of contacting people that works for you, takes advantage of your skills, and do it consistently for one to three years. When you find something that works, don’t ever stop doing it; it’s okay to add other methods, but don’t drop the current.
There is some good training available to teach people how to find people to talk to, but what I’d recommend is only listening to people who have actually developed huge organizations with the tactics they are teaching.
My favorite generic industry trainer is Mark Yarnell. I’ve known him for several years, he was the master distributor at the company I cut my teeth in MLM, and he now offers excellent training for those who want to make really big money. One of his CD’s teaches exclusively on rejection free prospecting. http://www.holygrailnetworkmarketing.com/
I’ve not had any good results promoting any of the many “funded proposals” systems out there, and don’t recommend any personally; some of them are written by people who haven’t even made $10,000 per month in MLM… go figure.
Ultimately a lead is a lead, but the important thing is the sale and that is what we are all looking for. Which type of lead has given you the highest conversion rate?
Absolutely, hands down, a self generated lead converts the best, if done properly. If working online the landing page ideally should be informational regarding your opportunity (which will reduce the number, but increase the quality) and also include information about you, since that is what you really need to focus on for converting leads into team members.
The second thing I’ve seen and experienced that works is a radio coop available at http://promisecoop.com/ This is the only “lead” source and system that has consistently produced results and leaders throughout our organization. With this system you are trading quality (which is outstanding) with quantity (the cost per lead, which is high) but the return on investment with this withstands the test of time.
I hope you have enjoyed this blog post. For more information on the business that Dave Hanson is involved with visit http://www.ThatsMyJetStream.net
