18 Dec 07 WHY?

The first and most important issue in building a home business is that you must have a WHY? A “why” is something that is specifically compelling to you that gives you the purpose, committment and motivation to work hard everyday.
When we first get into the business we are very excited about building our income stream. Unfortunately it happens this way every time, but then the excitement dies off and you lose the passion to build your business. What happens then? Most people quit and blame the company or the upline for their failure.
They fail to realize that this happens in every aspect of life; marriage, work, church and friendships. I highly recommend you read the book “The Dip” by Seth Godin. This will explain the process very clearly.
Those who DECIDE to be successful in their home business first must realize that eventually the newness will wear off and you will have to have a WHY that is so compelling that you will be able to have the determination to push through the hard times.
My reason for getting involved in a home business is that I want to have the financial and time freedom to be involved in overseas missions and to be able to spend more time with my family at home or our cabin rather than be owned by a job. The WHY is different for every person, but make sure that you have one and make sure to know that a DIP is coming that will cause you to want to give up. It’s those who can push through the DIP that will have their dreams (their WHY) fulfilled.
