It is so important for you as a network marketer to develop your prospecting skills. You cannot hide behind the computer and become successful. You must have an overabundance of leads to contact each and everyday so that you are not in a place of neediness when calling your leads.
Have an abundance mentality when contacting your leads. Secondly, when calling your leads you need to be looking to qualify them as a prospect not selling them on your business. What that means is that you will be asking them some interview questions that reveals whether they will be a solid potential business partner. In turn this establishes you as a leader in their mind and tells them that they are in need of you not vice versa.
One thing you can do to get in the right mind frame is the next 5 people you speak to tell them no. Tell them they are not the person you are looking for. Be polite, but be a leader. They will respect you and it will do a lot for your confidence.
Third, let your tools do the talking and don’t be needy. You can 3way them into a business presentation or simply send them an email with a link to your site. Let them know you are busy and that they can call you back after they take a look at the website.
Remember, you have an opportunity for them…there are millions of other people in the world that would love to get involved in your business. You just need to find them and it is very important to have the right posture when dealing with your prospects.
