Most individuals that own or manage websites or blogs know how important article distribution is in creating valuable back-links to their sites. The real issue is how effective is it?
There is really only one way to determine that, and it requires a some simple research on your own to figure out. You can measure it by typing in the name of the article, in quotes, into any search engine. What will return is the number of sites that have links to your site via the bio linkplaced into the article.
It seems all to easy. Okay then, write an article and post it to an article directory. Try eZinearticles.com for example. Just perform the above search in Google and see if the article doesn’t have at least one or two back-links to your site. (For a really popular article placed on a high traffic site I’ve had as many as 40,000 back links within two to three weeks.) And then wait a few weeks to see if they have been indexed. It is simple but regrettably there are many site owners and marketers that do not make use of this very simple tactic.
I’m always amazed by this because it seems so simple and quite frankly just downright cheap. The only cost might come from an Automated Article Submitter which makes it even easier to submit articles automatically without cutting and pasting text. Most Article Submitting Software is readily available and can be downloaded easily.
The next question is where to post the articles. In the last paragraph I gave some examples of top article sites however there are hundreds perhaps thousands that are eagerly awaiting fresh content to post.
