Are you frustrated with not having enough of a warm market to build your business with?
I have a great idea for you to help you expand your warm market. Set up a Facebook and MySpace account; search for your old friends, look for new friends that share your interests and join some groups on Facebook that interest you. You will be able to expand your warm market and in time you will learn how to market to them without directly selling them on your product at all.
Go to: www.facebook.com
On Facebook you can also create a page for your business. When you do that it will post in your mini-feed (an area that shows what you have been up to on Facebook) and people that come to your Facebook page will have an opportunity to click on your business page which in turn will direct them to be a part of sharing and asking questions about your product which in turn will drive traffic to your main website. Post some videos you have shot, take some lifestyle pictures and write notes on your business page that would interest your target market.
The two keys to selling on social networking sites.
1. People don’t want a sales pitch on your main personal facebook page.
2. Provide useful information on how it feels to use your product or be a part of your business opportunity.
First you want to become a dedicated user of Facebook so you know what it feels like to be a user and what it feels like to be pitched on a product or service. You don’t like it, but if you willingly click on someone’s news feed or picture or video that isn’t pitching you on something you are more than OK with that because it is providing something that is useful to you.
Secondly after you have learned the ropes of what it feels like to be a normal user you want to begin to create your business page and also create a discussion group. Then build those pages out with video, website links, special events and notes about your business. Then you can post it on your personal page for your new and old friends to look at if they wish to.
There are many distributors that have generated hundreds of leads in a short amount of time using this simple tactic. Make sure to follow the rules. No sales pitches on your personal page and when you do build your business page provide useful information not sales pitches.
When you are getting started in your business you are very excited and you start working and talking to people because it’s new and your level of emotion is high.
However, after 3 months what happens. You get busy with other things in your life and activities come up then you stop working your business, you get out of the habit and the business goes like a balloon that has been popped.
The stark reality is that MOST home business owners fail just like traditional businesses. What is one thing that seperates the winners from the losers?
I believe it boils down to desire. What level of desire do you have to become successful and to quit your job or whatever you are trying to accomplish? If you have a burning desire to be successful you will do what it takes. You will make the calls, you will spend the money to do the advertising, you will go to the meetings and get on the conference calls. If you don’t have the desire then guess what? You won’t do it. You’ll quit. As Jim Rohn says, “Winners win, quitters quit and losers lose.”
However, if you have the desire to win you can win if you combine that desire with consistent effort and personal growth.
What is your level of desire to succeed in your business? Will you let anything stand in your way?
It’s NOT About the Best Product….
It absolutely amazes me when people in competing home businesses say, “My _______ juice is better than your _______ juice.” This approach is weak and gets you no results. Who is going to win in a contest of comparisons?
The fact is that no one will win. Each will walk away hoping to never talk to that person again and feeling beaten down because of it or prideful because they feel that the “won”. But no one wins in that situation. You aren’t going to accomplish anything because at all value has been stripped away from the other person. So please don’t compare your product with others. This tactic simply does not work. It’s not about WHAT product is best at all.
It’s about who is best. That is who is best at building their own list of leads that they personally generated. Then its about who can stay in touch with that list and provide them valuable information so that they will come to YOU with their credit card in hand asking to join your business.
There are at least 3 reasons that generating a list of interested contacts is TANTAMOUNT to your success.
1. As your list grows so will your INCOME.
2. It changes your posture towards your prospects. You will be looking to qualify them for your time and not begging them to join your business.
3. If you have built enough value into your information when the automated system follows up with them they can’t wait to open up your email to find out more.
If you do one thing well this is the thing that you want to do well. Learn how to build a list by adding value to their lives, automate the follow up with valuable information given over time and create the posture with your prospects that brings results time and time again.
You’ll also need to know that adding value is not selling or pushing products on people. It’s about addressing irritations and frustrations that people already have and showing them how your company can fix those issues.
If you learn to do these things well then you have no problem building a highly profitable business.
